Did Jesus have to be God to save us?

Nowhere do we read that the Messiah had to be GOD himself in order to be able to redeem humanity. Paul even explicitly writes that salvation comes through a human being (1st Corinthians 15,21) and not through a GOD-man, a demigod, or the like. Already in the Old Testament there was the principle of the trigger, which could redeem a person under certain circumstances. This person had to be legally suitable and have the necessary resources to buy off the indebted person. Since death is the result of sin, the only requirement for redeeming humanity from its guilt was that the Messiah had to be sinless. Jesus fulfilled this condition. His righteousness was enough for GOD to grant all people forgiveness of their sins and access to eternal life through faith in him. This shows how great GOD's love and grace is towards us humans. The fact that Jesus was sinless does not mean that he is GOD. Because GOD is holy and absolutely sinless, the man whom GOD created in His image should be sinless. Jesus was the first and until then only person to live up to this claim. But in doing so, Jesus was simply living out what is the natural destiny of every human being: namely, a life of holiness or sinlessness.
