Is Jesus the Archangel Michael?

In both the Old and New Testaments, the name Michael appears only a few times in connection with a higher being. In the Book of Daniel, where the name is mentioned twice, there is no indication that Michael is the Messiah or GOD Himself (Daniel 10,12-21 / Daniel 12,1). Nor does any of the apostles make any connection between Jesus and the prince mentioned in the Old Testament. The Epistle to the Hebrews states that Jesus only appeared in the last days; not before (Hebrews 1,1). Second, there is a clear distinction between Jesus, the Son, and the angels (Hebrews 1,4-14 / Hebrews 2,5-9). While Jesus was initially lower than the angels, he is exalted above them since his resurrection (1st Peter 3,22). Both the Epistle to Jude and the Book of Revelation mention both Jesus and the archangel Michael; Here, too, there is no connection to each other (Jude 1,9 / Revelation 12,7 f.). Jesus' prophetic name is Immanuel, not Michael. The meaning of the name Michael is Who is like GOD? Thus, like many other Hebrew names, it bears a direct reference to GOD. This fact, however, does not mean that Michael is GOD, but rather expresses GOD's uniqueness and superiority over all creatures. In Judaism, Michael is a common name for humans. If Jesus were GOD and the name indicated a person's divinity, it would be used exclusively for Jesus, because anything else would be tantamount to blasphemy.
