Was Jesus' sacrifice a human sacrifice?

Scripture declares that GOD considers human sacrifice an abomination. In various ancient religions, it was common for children and infants to be sacrificed to pagan “gods” in ritual ceremonies. The best-known example, which is handed down in the Bible, is the so-called Moloch cult. In addition to sexual rites, worship of Moloch also included passing children through fire. If a couple sacrificed their firstborn, it was believed that Moloch would bring financial wealth and future children to the family. Such a ritual sacrifice is neither pleasing to GOD nor is Jesus' death on the cross comparable to this pagan cult.

The crucial difference is that Jesus voluntarily gave his life for humanity. An infant, on the other hand, can neither decide for itself nor defend itself against its parents' decision. Since GOD knew in His omniscience that Jesus would be sinless and willing to sacrifice his life for us, GOD chose him for this task before the foundation of the world. Jesus himself said that no one would take his life and that he could always ask his Father to save him from death. Jesus was not forced to do this by GOD against his will. But because Jesus loved his Father and people, he obeyed GOD.

Jesus' sacrifice consists of his selfless sacrifice for all people, even death on the cross; as announced in the 53rd chapter of the book of Isaiah. GOD rewarded this obedience by raising Jesus as the first person from the dead to immortal life and exalting him above all men and angels and placing all power in his hands. Through Jesus' death, everyone who converts to GOD can now receive forgiveness of their sins and participate in eternal life. Jesus' death therefore benefits many people. The ritual sacrificial death of an infant, on the other hand, benefits no one, neither the dead child nor other people.
